Mark I agree. It's costing over 90 Euro to fill my motor every time:-( Hopefully commodity electric vehicles will soon be availble, I look forward to watching lovely wind turbines spin and not petrol pump dials...

The cost of petrol is too higher now and this stops all the ppl going up north to buy their stuff. I do less trips at the weekend and try to use my bike more so I suppose it makes a bit of sense. Petrol is too expensive now to drive for pleasure.

That was such a cool show. I wonder did the slow motion running (with the noise) inspire the matrix films?

Hi John,
The Register is always looking at new ways to obtain additional sources of mileage. One of these is the National Car Test (NCT) readings. Cartell has placed pressure on the Government to obtain these readings and will continue to do so. At the moment these readings are not available in bulk to anyone - we feel this should change.

[...] The National Mileage Register (NMR), in association with Cartell, has hit 6 million unique mileage readings. These readings are obtained from a variety of sources, both trade and private, and their availability to every user of Cartell’s service gives everyone extra peace of mind when considering the purchase of their next vehicle.
Hi Dan,
Currently it requires somewhat specialised equipment to clock a car. However, I suspect that no matter what safeguards manufacturers implement to prevent clocking, as long as there is sufficient finanical gain, unscrupulous persons will find a workaround. The real elephant in the room is that it is legal to clock a car in Ireland.
